Inspired by the silhouette of an early 1940s evening dress, the Florenzia features a sweeping bias cut hemline, v-neckline with light gathers at center bust, and diamond waist. Crafted from our custom 18th Century Swiss reproduction print, this elbow length puffed sleeves feature functional drawstring ties and sleeve hem is finished with a light flounce ruffle. Self ties extend from the sides of waist and garment features hidden side zipper.

I've wanted a dress like this for such a long time and this one is beautiful! I will say to make sure to check the size chart/measurements!! For my fellow small-chested girlies, size down if you can! Otherwise, the detail is gorgeous and you can just tell it's so well-made. I'm excited to have this in my wardrobe for years to come and I'm excited to wear it to my bridal shower in a few weeks! :)
Beautiful, well designed dress! I find myself reaching for it daily. It’s a dress that makes me feel confident. The attention to detail and fit is impeccable.
I will say, I was leery about purchasing this dress at first because of the fabric. I’ve never had much success with rayon lasting or not shrinking. But if it weren’t for the tag on this dress I wouldn’t have guessed it was rayon; it has a really nice quality cotton feel to it and has held up wonderfully.
pros: flattering fit, adjustable waist, great for pear shape, neutral colors, works for all seasons, sleeves can be work poofy or flat, breathable
cons: the ties around arms can be annoying bc they tickle your arm when they come loose
The amount of intention and care that went into this garment was obvious from the moment I opened the parcel. The quality is impeccable; the dress is well sewn and the fabric is a good weight. It flows very nicely, and while the dress looks graceful, it does not feel overly delicate. I am confident that with proper care it will last years (which is good because I think it to be my new favorite even without pockets!). The coverage is great and I am not worried about adjusting anything through the day. I am 5’0” and I ordered size XS. It is a perfect fit, and very flattering! The dress wears like a maxi on me. I highly recommend visiting the fitting guide here on the Atelette site for finding your measurements. It was so helpful and led me to make the right selection (I will list my measurements below to give you further room to compare). Last to say, the color and pattern make it feel all the more feminine and romantic! I am thrilled to add Florenzia to my wardrobe!
